Every school morning, one identity
Building Brands Through Apparel · India's school apparel house

Your school has an identity. Does its apparel reflect it?

Every garment says something: the daily uniform, sportswear, house colours, event wear and staff apparel. VILAN designs, crafts and delivers them as one identity, and your management sees the whole plan in a Brand Book before a single thread is cut.

Why VILAN

Every school has a story. We make it visible, two hundred and twenty days a year.

Most schools buy daily wear, sportswear, event tees and staff uniforms separately, at different times, from different people. Each garment tells its own story. VILAN plans them as one, so your school looks like the school it really is, every single school day.

How every VILAN programme begins: your school's garments are studied, measured and redrawn before anything is made.
What schools need

Four people judge a uniform. Each needs something different.

Owners approve it, the principal decides, the administrator advises and parents live with it. Here is what each person needs, and what VILAN does about it.

The problem we solve

Many garments, many stories. We make them one.

When each garment is chosen separately, a school slowly stops looking like one school. VILAN brings every decision into one Brand Book, then dresses the whole school from it.

Bought separately
InconsistencyGroups look unrelated to one another.
Weak recallThe school's identity is not reinforced.
Ad-hoc decisionsEach new garment is designed from zero.

  1. Most schools buy apparel piece by piece, from different suppliers, over many years.
  2. So the blazer, the sports kit and the staff wear rarely look like one school.
  3. Building Brands Through Apparel (BBTA) starts with your school's identity, not a catalogue.
  4. Every garment is documented in an Apparel Brand Book: colours, crest, fabrics and rules.
  5. You review and approve the Brand Book before anything is produced.
  6. Then we pattern, cut and stitch to that approved standard.
  7. Each batch is checked against the Brand Book before it leaves the studio.
  8. Delivery is planned around your reopening and school calendar.
  9. Students, staff and events then look like one school, year after year.

All questions
Is the Brand Book a commitment to buy?

No. The Brand Book is a planning document for management. Ordering is a separate, written decision.

Can we start with only one wardrobe, such as sportswear?

Yes. Many schools start with one wardrobe and add the rest in stages. The Brand Book keeps later additions consistent.

When should we start for the upcoming academic year?

Start in October. The programme runs over about six months, from the audit in October to delivery in March. Your exact timeline is agreed at the planning stage.

Will parents pay more?

Affordability is part of the brief. Fabric, construction and item choices are agreed with management with parent cost in mind.

Do you only make uniforms for students?

No. The five wardrobes cover students, teachers, front office, transport and support staff, and community apparel for parents and alumni.

Do you supply accessories along with the uniforms?

Yes. Ties, belts, socks, badges and ID lanyards can be planned in the same Brand Book, so they match the uniform. The exact list is agreed with management during planning.
